The Sketchbook Project

Here are two sketches from my sketchbook for "The Sketchbook Project." I signed up for it thinking it would be fun and a good discipline to sketch more. My theme was "In 5 minutes..." I couldn't believe that it was so hard for me to find just 5 more minutes throughout these last months, and the sketchbook is due now! This little booklet will be touring and on file with The Brooklyn Art Library. The kids helped out, so there's lots of fun sketches and tidbits in the pages of my small volume.

Here are some of my pieces:

New Paintings--November 2010

These are some new ones I've done recently:

Here is a commissioned portrait for which I did a photo session to get to know Emma and Ian, as well as get the photos I needed for the painting.

I am working on a large landscape--here is a small idea painting on location. This is the final version of the idea painting.

This is another painting I did on location to get prepared for the bigger painting.

Prints for sale!

These are some of the 11 x 14 (in most cases) prints I have available for sale.

Getting published

It is one of my dreams to illustrate children's books. I've written and illustrated several for my children, but have not had success in getting anything published...yet. Here are some illustrations.
